What should I know about sending flowers to hospitals or funeral homes?
Check the facility's delivery policies and hours. Label arrangements clearly with recipient details and room or service information, and allow extra lead time for deliveries to these locations.
How do florists handle unavailable flowers or substitutions?
If a chosen flower is unavailable, florists typically substitute similar blooms of equal or greater value in a matching color palette. You can note any strict preferences when ordering.
What are the best flower care practices after delivery?
Trim stems on a diagonal, remove foliage below the waterline, use fresh water and preservative if provided, change water every two days, and keep arrangements out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
Should I schedule deliveries for special occasions or holidays?
Yes. For holidays, weddings, and major events, order in advance to ensure availability and preferred delivery times. Popular dates can sell out quickly.
