Can I get same‑day flower delivery to Duke University?
Many local florists offer same‑day delivery if you order before the florist's cutoff time, typically late morning to early afternoon. Availability depends on the florist, stock, and campus access restrictions.
How should I address a delivery to a student on campus?
Include the recipient's full name, building name, room or mailbox number if known, and any desk or front desk instructions to help the driver complete the delivery successfully.
Are hospital and dorm deliveries treated differently?
Yes. Hospitals and residence halls may require specific delivery procedures, such as leaving items at a nurse's station or front desk. Provide exact department names and follow any special instructions the florist asks for.
What if no one is available to receive the flowers?
Florists typically attempt to leave arrangements with a front desk, campus mailroom, or neighbor. If directed, they may reschedule delivery or return the arrangement to the shop for pickup.
How can I keep delivered flowers fresh for longer?
Trim stems at an angle, use clean water and flower food, remove leaves below the waterline, change water every two days, and keep arrangements out of direct sunlight and away from heat or fruit.
