Editorial Standards: How We Research Flower Delivery
The Flowers Directory Editorial Team writes and updates the buying guides, service comparisons and city delivery pages on this site. This page explains where our numbers come from, how we handle the fact that we also sell flowers, and how to report a mistake.
We sell flowers, and we say so
The Flowers Directory is a small, friend-operated company that sells flower arrangements hand-delivered by local florists through the Florist One network. When a guide compares us with other services, our own shop is labeled as ours. Any product we recommend is shown as "our pick" or "from our own shop" with its full price and the delivery fee.
Where our numbers come from
- Other services' prices, fees, cutoffs and guarantees: taken from each service's own website. Pages show the date the figures were checked.
- Ratings: each service's Trustpilot and Better Business Bureau profiles, with the date we looked.
- Our own prices: our live catalog. Prices on guides are refreshed from the catalog.
- Our same-day cutoff: 1:00 PM in the recipient's time zone, Monday to Saturday. We measured it by checking delivery availability in the Florist One ordering system minute by minute around the cutoff.
- Coverage: same-day delivery to 34,595 US cities through our florist network. About 2,750 city pages also list local florists, funeral homes and hospitals; each listing was checked against Google Maps in September 2026, listings added from September 27 are within 25 miles of the city, and a page shows no listings rather than unverified ones.
How we keep pages current
Every guide shows a "Last updated" date. When we update a guide we re-check the prices, fees and ratings it quotes. If a figure has changed we change the page and the date. We do not change the date without changing the content.
Corrections
If you find something wrong, email [email protected] with the page and the correction. We fix confirmed errors and update the page date.
