Both hold an A+ from the Better Business Bureau, which grades how a company handles complaints rather than how customers rate it. 1-800-Flowers is the better choice when you are ordering late in the day, on a Sunday, or want to add food and gifts from its other brands.
Which is cheaper, FTD or 1-800-Flowers?
They cost about the same for a florist-delivered bouquet. 1-800-Flowers publishes its service charge by order size:
| Merchandise amount | 1-800-Flowers service charge |
|---|---|

| $149.99 and over | $21.99 |
FTD says its standard shipping and delivery charges "start as low as $19.99" and vary by location and date. On a florist-delivered bouquet the two fees land within a few dollars of each other, so compare the total at checkout, where same-day or weekend surcharges and tax are added. If you send flowers several times a year, a membership pays for itself quickly: FTD Plus costs $39.99 a year and Celebrations Passport renews at $29.99 a year.
